Crafting Sustainability:
The Paletta Production Journey

At Paletta, our commitment to sustainability is woven into the very fabric of our creations, quite literally. Let us take you on a journey through the meticulous process of crafting our unique designs.

Sourcing Sustainable Threads

Our journey begins with the selection of Recycled PET (RPET) threads, sourced from a reputable supplier who shares our dedication to eco-friendly practices. These threads, extracted from recycled plastic bottles, form the foundation of our fabric. See the RPET process below:

01. Source

Collect plastic bottles

We ethically source discarded PET containers, diverting waste from landfills and oceans to begin their transformation.

02. Purify

Crush and wash

Materials are mechanically crushed into flakes and rigorously washed to remove impurities using closed-loop water systems.

03. Transform

Recycled polyester chips

The clean flakes are melted and extruded into uniform polymer chips, ready for high-performance spinning.

04. Weave

Make yarn

Precision spinning creates durable, soft yarn that serves as the foundation for our signature Paletta textiles.

05. Fabric

Woven into Fabric

At a specialized textile mill, the rPET yarn is woven into durable, high-quality fabric, ready for its next life.

06. Colour

One-of-a-Kind Colour

Each batch is tied and dyed by hand, creating colour variations that can never be exactly repeated. The result is a Paletta piece unlike any other.

07. Furniture

Crafted into Furniture

The finished fabric is carefully upholstered onto our stools, chairs, and cushions, completing its transformation from recycled plastic into distinctive, functional design.
