Woodworker / CarpenterProject-Based
Paletta is looking for a skilled woodworker or carpenter to collaborate with us on custom, project-based builds in Cairo, Egypt.
We create thoughtful, character-rich pieces using reclaimed lumber and wood. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with wood that has history, texture, imperfections, and variation, and who knows how to turn those qualities into beautiful finished work.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong woodworking or carpentry experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience working with reclaimed lumber, salvaged wood, or irregular materials
- Ability to interpret design direction and bring a high level of craftsmanship to each piece
- Comfort working on a project-by-project basis
- A reliable, communicative, and collaborative working style
- Pride in clean, thoughtful, well-finished work
Project location
Projects are based in Cairo, Egypt. Applicants should be based in Cairo or able to work on projects there as needed.
Type of work
Projects may include custom furniture, built-in pieces, wood features, display elements, or other design-forward woodworking projects. Scope, timeline, and compensation will be discussed per project.
