Paletta is looking for a thoughtful and skilled furniture designer to collaborate with us on custom, project-based pieces in Saskatoon, Canada.

We create character-rich furniture and objects with a focus on material, form, function, and craftsmanship. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong design eye, understands how furniture is built, and can create pieces that feel intentional, practical, and beautifully resolved.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Strong furniture design experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A refined sense of proportion, form, and material
  • Ability to design custom pieces for specific spaces, needs, or concepts
  • Understanding of wood, joinery, construction methods, and finishing
  • Comfort working with reclaimed lumber, salvaged wood, or irregular materials
  • Ability to translate ideas into sketches, drawings, renderings, or build-ready concepts
  • A collaborative approach when working with makers, carpenters, and clients
  • Comfort working on a project-by-project basis

Project location

Projects are based in Saskatoon, Canada. Applicants should be based in Saskatoon or able to work on projects there as needed.

Type of work

Projects may include custom furniture, tables, seating, shelving, built-ins, wood objects, display pieces, or one-of-a-kind commissions. Scope, timeline, deliverables, and compensation will be discussed per project.
